Lao She Youth Theater Awards to fund 12 scripts from young writers

A total of 12 scripts from young writers have been chosen as the winners of the Lao She Youth Theater Awards support project. These scripts - seven stage plays, four Chinese operas and one musical - were selected from a total of 131 submitted works. 

At the ceremony, scriptwriter Li Yicheng, whose work Golden Cicada was among the winners, said that this was a great opportunity for her to continue her work. 

Mo Xia, another winning scriptwriter, said that the win has reminded her to never stop exploring the possibilities behind scripts and or searching for a balance between literature and reality. 

Scholars, experts and writers also shared and discussed hot topics such as creative storytelling after the ceremony.
