‘CHUANG 2020’ a hit after opening with a 7.1/10 on Douban

Chinese reality show CHUANG 2020 has become a hit since its debut on May 2. The show opened with a 7.1/10 on Chinese media review site Douban as well as kicked off a number of trending topics about the show on social media. 

Produced by Tencent Video, the reality show aims to select seven girls from 101 contestants through a series of tasks, training programs and tests with the help from celebrity tutors such as Huang Zitao, Lu Han, Mao Buyi and Song Qian. The seven finalists will form a new girl group at the end of the season.  

After a series of fierce dancing and singing competitions, the current top seven girls including Chen Zhuoxuan, Jiang Zhenyu and Lin Junyi will perform together as a temporary group for the next phrase of the competition.
