A series of concerts are being staged at the Poly Theater from Monday to Wednesday to mark the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth during the ongoing Beijing Music Festival (BMF).

The Beethoven: Complete Violin Sonatas concerts are being performed by 10 young promising violinists including Dang Huali, Chen Yige and Su Qianxun.

According to Zou Shuang, the artistic director of BMF, staging all three concerts with young musicians born after 1990, the youngest, 15 years old, at a time when most music festivals have been postponed or canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak adds to the significance of the music festival.
